| Plot Summary: | When prospective fathers-in-law Steve Tobias and Jerry Peyser meet for the first time to celebrate their children’s upcoming marriage, the cake hits the fan. Dr. Jerome Peyser is a mild-mannered podiatrist with a well-organized daily routine designed to eliminate all possible sources of stress. Meanwhile, daredevil CIA operative Steve Tobias moves through life like a heat-seeking missile. His average day consists of dodging bullets, stealing private jets and negotiating with international arms smugglers. Now he’s giving potential father-of-the-bride Jerry a serious case of pre-nuptial jitters. Steve’s dramatic entrances and exits, his cryptic references to a Russian runaway named Olga and his fight with a gunman in a restaurant washroom causes Jerry to see a vision of his daughter’s perfectly planned wedding blowing up in his face. As far as Jerry’s concerned, letting Steve into his family takes til death do us part way too literally. Before he can say the wedding is off, Jerry suddenly finds himself embroiled in the chaos that follows in Steve’s wake as he is dragged kicking and screaming into a series of perilous adventures that take the mismatched in-laws-to-be halfway around the world. |

| Plot Summary: | Set in the New York club scene of the late 1980’s thru the 1990’s, a tale which chronicles the rise and fall of club-kid promoter ‘Michael Alig’ (qv), a party organizer, whose extravagant life was sent spiralling downward when he boasted on television that he had killed his friend, roommate, and drug dealer, Angel Melendez. Originally from Indiana, Alig moved to New York, and came to be an underground legend, known for his excessive drug use and outrageous behavior in the club world. At his peak, he had his own record label, and magazine, and hosted Disco 2000, one of the biggest club nights in New York in the ’90s. He was doing a lot of drugs, and as his addiction got worse, his party themes became darker and more twisted. Alig’s saga reached its tragic crescendo when he viciously murdered his drug dealer, Angel, by injecting him with Drano and throwing him in the East River. The power he wielded on the club scene made him feel untouchable, so he didn’t hestitate to boast of the murder. The press thought it was a publicity stunt—until Angel’s body washed ashore. |

| Plot Summary: | When you are an Indian immigrant like Hari Patel, “fresh off the boat” or FOB, you have enough to learn without having to figure out “where’s the party, yaar.” While the desi scene may be hip and happening in Hari’s new home of Houston, Texas, the guardians of cool don’t want the FOBs, with their funny dance moves and their white sneakers, crashing their Desi Fever dance parties. Hari, with his oily hair and his oversized luggage, might have a hard time breaking in, but by the end of this all-you-can-eat joke buffet he-and everyone else-has learned and unlearned more than a few lessons. With a fresh, energetic cast including Kal Penn and Sunil Malhotra from the hit AMERICAN DESI, and a killer soundtrack featuring Cornershop, Panjabi MC and DJ Cheb i Sabbah, the film pokes fun at every sacred cow it can find, from astrologers, pirated CDs, South Asians in post 9/11 America, shagadelic Indian student bachelor pads (with half a dozen roomies) to that holiest of holies, a Bollywood song in the rain. The toughest dilemma, however, has nothing to do with roots, bhangra or how to be a cool brown dude. It’s simply this: how on earth do you buy a condom in a convenience store when the owner looks like your good uncle from Patiala? |

He also meets Zack, a 10-year-old guitar prodigy, who could help Dewey win a “battle of the bands” competition, which would solve his financial problems and put him back in the spotlight. |

| Plot Summary: | Prey For Rock & Roll is the story of Jacki and her all-girl rock and roll band, Clam Dandy, who are trying to make it in the LA club scene of the late 1980’s. After ten years of being ignored by record producers, Jacki and the band find hope in one producer who promises to see them play and consider them for a contract. Jacki resolves to play this one last gig and then throw in the towel if she does not find success. Personal tragedies, however, threaten to rip the band apart, rocking the foundation of friendship and trust the women have built together. Ultimately, the band must find its strength in the music that is their passion and the thread that holds them together, inspiring them to prevail. |
